Marie

Our hospital manager Marie comes to us all the way from Ireland! She is a great addition to the Amherst team. Marie grew up in the small town of Macroom, in Southern Ireland. She completed a 4 year Business Studies Degree at the Cork Institute of Technology. Marie has been both a business owner and has experience managing a veterinary clinic prior to joining Amherst. In January of 2010 Marie and her partner Alan decided to make the big move to Canada. In 2013, baby Oisin came into the world and life became even more busy!  Marie really enjoys working in a team and says that the Amherst staff and the clientele are a really friendly bunch.

Marie chose to get involved in the veterinary world because she has always loved working with the public and animals. It seemed like a natural choice! Despite being a great practice manager, Marie has many other interests and abilities. She has fallen in love with our beautiful BC Mountains and has taken up skiing! Marie loves riding her bike, reading, going to the movies, being outdoors in Vancouver’s breathtaking environment, and traveling. Marie and her family also love spending time with their cheeky cat Gizmo!

Marie is a tremendous asset to our hospital and an invaluable member of the Amherst family.
