Muskulo-Skeletal Evaluation (Lameness)

Musculo Skeletal Evaluation LamenessWe see musculoskeletal disease in both the young and the older pet population. In the adolescent dog we are presented with a variety of developmental conditions especially in the larger active breeds. Arthritis or degenerative joint diseases are more prominent in the geriatric patient. In both cats and dogs we see a range of arthritides due to infectious agents, immune mediated disease, wear and tear degenerative joint disease as well as trauma. Through comprehensive history taking, evaluation of gait, physical exam and radiographs, and if required, joint fluid analysis, we are best able to make a diagnosis and prescribe a therapy to manage your pet’s ailment.
