Siobhan

Veterinary Receptionist/Assistant
Mary Ann
Siobhan was born in a small town in Ontario and then grew up in Denver Colorado (U.S.A.). She attended UBC and obtained a Bachelor’s of Science in Chemistry. She has lived in Vancouver ever since, over 12 years now. We’d say she’s a definite Vancouverite!

After graduating with her BSc degree, Siobhan worked as a front end manager at a supermarket as she took some time to determine what her next career steps would be. In addition to this position she walked dogs part-time for 2 years and that led her down the path of pursuing further education in animal welfare and care. Siobhan then went on to complete the Veterinary Technician Assistant Program at Granville College in 2021.

After completing her program at Granville College, Siobhan adopted her first baby ‘Raven’. Raven was very shy and timid and so Siobhan has worked with her on behavioural training and confidence building. As a result, Siobhan has become very interested in pursuing more knowledge in dog behaviour and body language.

Siobhan is passionate about science, education and animals. She enjoys interacting with the patients and clients and helping answer questions to help further educate owners on pet care. She enjoys math and excel and educational documents.

Siobhan spends most of her free time with her furbaby ‘Raven’. Together they enjoy hiking, being in nature and finding quiet places to explore outside of the city. They also enjoy swimming, reading and just spending time together.

Growing up, Siobhan had a family pet, a little dachshund named Teddy who is now over 16 years old! As a result of this very special connection, Siobhan will always have a soft spot in her heart for dachshunds.

Siobhan is such a fun, smart and lovely addition to our team. We love watching Siobhan spread her kindness and knowledge to our patients, clients and team!
