Amherst Veterinary Hospital is a full service animal hospital located in Vancouver on West 4th and Alma in the Jericho Village Mall. Dr. Grant Cumberbirch
Principal, Owner and Veterinarian
Grant attended UBC where he obtained his Bachelor of Science in Agriculture. On admission to the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in 1977, he spent the following four years in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.
Dr. Iuliana Sofronia
Dr. Sofronia graduated from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in Romania, and worked as a veterinarian in her home country before coming to Canada. She grew up in a small town in Romania and spent all her summer vacations on her grandparents farm, caring for the animals.
Dr. Caroline Stean
Dr Caroline grew up in Ontario, attended the Ontario Veterinary College from 2010-2014 and then moved to British Columbia after Vet school. Caroline first moved to Vancouver Island and then in 2018, moved on to Vancouver.
Dr. Natasa Milojkovic
Natasa pursued her dream and graduated from the University of Belgrade in 1990 and came to Canada in 1992. She began her Canadian veterinary career as a veterinary technician and then passed the Canadian Board exam in Guelph in 1995.
Dr. Trisha Kong
Amherst Veterinary Hospital welcomes Dr. Trisha Kong to the Amherst family! Dr. Kong was born and raised in Hong Kong, where she grew up with pets; a hamster and a yellow Labrador named Logan. She moved from Hong Kong to Scotland and pursued her veterinary education at the University of Glasgow and graduated (with commendation) in 2015.
Dr. Deb Archeck
Dr. Deb Archeck has recently joined our Amherst team and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience with her.
Dr. Juliana Toledo
Dr. ToIedo obtained her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in Sao Paulo, Brazil, where she grew up. She was working as a veterinarian in Brazil for over 7 years before she moved to Vancouver.
Dr. Katelyn Behm
Dr. Katelyn Behm obtained her BSc in Biology from the University of British Columbia. She earned her DVM with High Honours from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine, having moved to the island of St. Kitts for her pre-clinical education, and attended Cornell University for her clinical training.
