Amanda

Animal Health Technician
Amanda
Amanda was born and raised in North Vancouver. She obtained her technician designation at the Bel-Rec Institute of Veterinary Technology in Denver, Colorado and graduated with honours in 2002. Amanda has worked in a number of different environments during her career; 3 years in a Specialist Referral Practice in Vancouver, several shelters/humane societies, as well as a 24 hour emergency hospital in Calgary, Alberta.

Amanda joined the Amherst team in 2010 and says, “I love working at Amherst and feel so lucky to be part of such a great team. All of us here share the same goal, to provide the best possible care to each and every patient on a daily basis.” Amanda happily shares her home with Jolene, a 5 year old “pigbull” (pitbull cross) and 2 wonderful former shelter cats; Lily and Champ. Amanda has a keen interest in veterinary dentistry and is a strong advocate of spaying/neutering pets. We are very fortunate to have Amanda as part of the Amherst team!
